FREE CONSULTATION:

The fact that this service is FREE is not the best part of it! The best part of the Boulder Hills Free Consultation is going to be the experience. At absolutely no cost or commitment to you; you will have a certified and experienced Professional in Landscape and Hardscape design and construction on your property, offering expert insight into your project and answering any questions you may have! Your Boulder Hills Project Manager and Landscape Designer will be enthusiastic and devoted to your project and understanding your desires, your concerns and the needs of your property. We will listen intently as you share your wish list with us and provide expert feedback regarding all elements of your project.

 

Once we have walked your property, reviewed your existing landscape and discussed your wants and needs, we will be able to provide you with a “ballpark” cost for the materials and construction of your project. It is at this time that we will also discuss the budget parameters of your project. It is imperative to move forward from here that the scope of work is aligned with the budget parameters you have set.

 

After consulting with you about your project, discussing budget parameters and agreeing that the scope of work aligns with your budget, your Project Manager and Landscape Designer will get to work acquiring the necessary information about your site conditions and project details, to generate an initial concept landscape design for your project. The information to be acquired will be exact measurements, elevations, access to site, material preferences, material staging options for

FREE LANDSCAPE DESIGN:

Boulder Hills Landscaping of River Falls and Hudson, WI utilizes the latest and greatest in Computer Aided (Landscape) Design software to present you with a realistic description of the landscape concept and scope of work that we have custom created especially for you! Whether it's a re-created animation of your property with a birds-eye perspective, a virtual walkthrough movie or an actual paste-over photo of your property, our state-of-the-art landscape design technology allows us to depict a precise, to-scale design, that will encompass all of your dreams right before your eyes and provide our Professional Landscape Installation Team with the plan required to bring it to life and stay within the parameters of the cost proposal!!

2D (CAD) plans are absolutely no-strings-attached FREE at Boulder Hills Landscaping! All that we ask is that you provide us with a Project Budget to work within when conceptualizing your plan to ensure that the scope of work and plan that we draft for you aligns with the budget parameters that you have set aside for your project.

​

3D (virtual) designs do require considerably more time and resources to draft. For this reason, virtual designs are not free of charge. The cost for a virtual design will range from $500 to $2000 depending on the scope of work entailed for your project. This cost is due up front, non-refundable and will not be used as a deduction on your final construction invoice.

PROPOSAL:

After you and your Landscape Designer have agreed upon a final Project Design, your landscape will move over to your Boulder Hills Project Manager for final review and cost determination. This part of the process typically happens very quickly, as all cost factoring is already programmed into our accounting and estimating software. Your Boulder Hills Project Manager can typically turn around a cost proposal within a couple days of reviewing your final Landscape Design.

 

Your cost proposal will be emailed to you as soon as it is prepared and typically a hard copy of the full proposal (design and cost) will be mailed directly to your home.

 

Once you have reviewed your proposal in full, please let us know if you would like to visit onsite to discuss any elements of the design or construction, prior to signing an agreement. We will be happy to walk through the proposal with you onsite!

 

At any time throughout the design and proposal stage of your project, should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Designer or Project Manager directly. Communication is critical throughout this process, to ensure that all expectations are met and your experience working with Boulder Hills is second-to-none!

CONTRACT AND SCHEDULING:

You have decided that integrity, quality and value are just what you are looking for and know that you will get that with Boulder Hills Landscaping! You are ready to get on the schedule!

​

Please contact our office, your Designer or PM, via email or phone and inform them of your intent to proceed with your project. At this time, our office will send over the Landscape Agreement for your signature. The Landscape Agreement is very comprehensive, straightforward and short in text.

 

You can decide at any time to sign the Agreement for construction. Once we have received a signed Agreement, your project will be positioned in the next available timeslot for construction. During peak season and depending on the scope of your project, it may take 4 - 12 weeks after signing an Agreement before construction commences; for this reason, many clients choose to sign and schedule early in the process while design modifications may still be underway.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION:

7-10 business days before your scheduled date of construction, our office will be calling to confirm the date and start time of your project and to schedule a Pre-Construction Walkthrough.

 

At Boulder Hills Landscaping we do our very best to stay as close to schedule as possible but do please understand that inclement weather and project add-ons do play a role in the schedule. We will do our best to keep you informed of any schedule changes.

 

The week prior to your project beginning, your Boulder Hills Landscaping Project Manager would like to meet with you on your site and perform a
Pre-Construction Walkthrough. The Pre-Construction Walkthrough will allow your Project Manager to walk you through the process of construction, inform you of what you should expect to see throughout the course of construction as well as answer and address any questions or concerns you may have prior to construction.

 

If you have not already mailed in the Construction Deposit (detailed in the Landscape Agreement), your Project Manager shall collect the deposit at this time.

 

Boulder Hills will be responsible for performing a utility locate on the construction site area prior to beginning. Please do not be alarmed if you see a locate official on your property marking your turf with paint and flags.

CONSTRUCTION:

The day has come! The crew and equipment are onsite, and your project has begun! What you can expect and what you will notice with a Boulder Hills Landscaping Installation Team is the extent of professionalism, commitment to quality and degree of organization and efficiency. Your Boulder Hills Installation Team will work steadfast and intently, with the utmost respect for your property, your neighbors, the product and the integrity of your project! Remember, attention to detail, quality of product and VALUE is what we build our business on. You can expect this!

 

You can also expect at the end of each workday, your job site will be cleaned up; waste will be removed, materials will be organized, tools and equipment will be organized or removed until the following day.

 

At any time throughout the course of construction, please do not hesitate to call your Project Manager directly should you have a question or concern. Our paramount objective is your satisfaction and pleasant experience, and we believe communication is an essential part in ensuring your overall experience.

Your Boulder Hills Project Manager will do a final walkthrough to inspect the final product and get any necessary measurements required to complete the final invoice. Your final invoice will not be drafted until your Project Manager is satisfied that we have delivered all that was agreed to, standards have been upheld throughout and any questions or concerns that you may have been addressed. We base our reputation off exceeding expectations, and we deliver!!
